Possibly due to lack of constant updates on your site or due to your backlinks being reduced. Build more links and you can expect an increase in your PR by the next update hopefully. Though PR may not be of much use but if the links you've built are attached to an anchor text, they can help you rank well for that keyword.
Hey thanks. i was asking any google update caused same prob to any one here,i am updating content soon which is more optimized as current. i know that back links will help increase in crawling rate as well votes which can be changed by webmaster control(crawling) but i felt any new update in algo as done this.. ? not sure.
Your backlinks might also experience a fall in PR. This could be the reason why your website's PR fall...
One of my sites PR was increased from 0 to 1 and my another site's decreased from 3 to 2 on 1st of Jan this year.
That's right. Or ... you've added many low or N/A backlinks you your website. Anyway, official info's on this kind of changes: http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/more-info-on-pagerank/
Its quite simple really, you'll need to make sure you have plenty of other websites/blogs/forums linking to your site - if they are sites that already have page ranks then you'll get even better results.
Well, once your site is really reliable and well known in your niche, you don't really have to problem on your links since people will definitely link to your blog with you telling them to do so.
I am bit confused coz you have said maybe due to lack of contant update it affects PR too? I am glad your remind me of it coz I hardly update my blogs or site so I am scared now that I wasnt able to keep doing it ..I didnt know that it has effect in PR
look out for those links you have or bought. those have probably expired. an your backlinks are now lesser.
Indeed , frequent updates are recommended on blogs. They encourage people to link back , also they help your feeds.
