Hie guys, I have been facing this problem from many weeks that my website is not opening in a specific internet connection like "You Telecom". I have spoken with the internet service providers, but they say its a server issue. When i spoke with my server people, they say its not a server issue but rather a ISP issue. I m pretty much messed up in between these two. Moreover i have even received calls from US, Russia and Canada that my site is not opening (or is damn slow). I have also received a major drop in my business due to this. Pls guys help me to solve this big issue. I will be very helpful of you. Thanks in advance
It seems that your site IP address is blocked in many ISP and hence some people are not able to access it. You will need to make sure that your site IP address is not used in spamming or any abuse activity. You can contact your hosting provider regarding this. Also if it is possible then provide us your web site link here so that DP people can check your site from various countries. Regards, Kailash
Thanks Kailash for your pleasant reply. But can i place my website link here? Wont the mods delete my account?
Ok...my URL is bharatbook[DOT]com ( remove the [DOT]and place (.) ) below, kindly check and reply back.
Well it looks fine for me. It is selling reports, I would wonder why ISPs want to block it in the first place.
Can you provide the list of ISPs where are site is not accessible from? Your website is working fine at my end (I use Reliance Infocomm as an ISP)
Your site is loading fast for me. Also do a tracert from which your site is not opening and check the from which hop you are blocked. Kailash
Could it be your DNS rather than IP that has problems? Maybe do try to check with your hosting provider on this. I see no reason why ISP will block your web site. But DNS errors may cause the problems you describe.
OK with simple dns testing i found this : Master DNS defined by SOA (ns3.indialinks.com) was not found among NS records. NS list mismatch: registration authority reports that domain is hosted on the following servers: 'ns.indialinks.net; ns2.indialinks.net', but DNS server ns.indialinks.net reports domain to be hosted on 'ns4.indialinks.com; ns3.indialinks.com'. Please make sure that you configure the same DNS servers in registrar database and on your DNS Maybe some strict dnses dont allow this ?
Not just "strict" NSs. Incorrectly configured DNS always causes strange problems that are hard to figure out and they're pretty common since a lot of people don't really understand DNS. Should make sure the NS records returned by all servers match the name servers returned when you do a whois lookup for that domain. These NSs should also be "registered" with the root servers against their respective IP addresses.
