my website in google search was around 5400 (results) and in two weeks, it drops to 4300 and then to 3200, anyone know the reason for this, please help.
I wouldn't worry about it. Reported links change a shed loads on a monthly basis. As long as your rankings don't drop then you're fine.
Actually it did drop from PR2 to PR1, i thought because i had put new links in the homepage to a new pages in the website and also to the website blog which hosted separetly with wordpress.
my domain is 3 years old, and i'm always trying to build more backlinks to promote the website (comments, blog posts, articles, social bookmarkig sites..) you think that my website has been penalized by google, even though i still get fair amount of traffic from google actually lately i just paid for some PR4 and PR5 links which actually were comments in PR4 PR5 pages and having a lot of spams.
the thing is that, you buyed links from some paid PR domains and comments as well., so after Google Panda Update.., google is craping all those sites which manuplating Google SE.., so better to remove those Paid links and get natural links..,
It seems that when you post a comment on a blog, the blog will actually multiply the link throughout the site so this will give a large number of backlinks form one site, then over a period of a week, the links will gradually decrease as others comment on the blog, this could result in the falling number of backlinks.
Maintain high quality link building efforts, incorporate fresh, quality and unique contents in your website and you should not worry a thing, your rank will increase in the next update
No doubt more links and fresh contents are way of success. Hope you post comment properly and did not try to spam as some of my friends reply that after Panda Update, google is craping all those sites which manuplating Google SE.. So do the natural work process and try to place your link which have unique and original content. I am sure it works.
It is no big deal. After all your site did go from 0 to having that much links. The variation in the number of visits per month is expected and is no big deal. If it happens continually for a number of months then you should start to get worried.
