my website links decreases from 1192 t0 400 how ?

    www.snetdownloads.com i have check my websites links brfore 1 month....i comenthing on others blog for one moth to increase backlinks....but when i have seen my backlinks not its decreses man......please help me.....answer must

    Where you checking. If you are checking with Google you might not see a clear picture. Try Yahoo site explorer

    Lol! You were using Yahoo site explorer, weren't you?

    Sometimes Yahoo's spiders hit a blog or a forum or just some random site that throws out thousands of "ghost" links because a script is malfunctioning. Because these all have different URL's, Yahoo "counts" these as links, and if its on, like, the third page of results in site explorer, you might not notice it.

    Eventually yahoo catches it and removes the nonexistent links.

    Our record so far was 1,800 links that vanished overnight.
