    Hey guys,

I was wondering if I could get some direction and feedback.

I've been thinking of selling my website - www.kimbo-slice.com. However, I'm not sure how much I should value it at. We all know that those domain appraisal tools are inaccurate and don't take proper considerations into account. I'd prefer to get some feedback from all of you.

Do you think that trying to fetch $999 for my site is far fetched? I haven't really done any SEO at all. Everything on the site is strictly organic and already ranking #1 on yahoo for various terms.

Kimbo Slice will begin his tenure in The Ultimate Fighter 10 this October which should increase his popularity even more. So far Google lists monthly global searches at 1,000,000 for the term Kimbo Slice.

I know for sure that if someone willing to put the time can make loads of money using affiliate sales with mmawarehouse.

Looking forward to your feedback :)

Finally - an intelligent post/question/thread at DP. Hooray!

Honestly, I think you can get more than $1000. Heck - I'd consider paying $1000 for it. The domain's true value depends on traffic and revenue.

Now obviously there is risk here. If Kimbo does well on The Ultimate Fighter and earns a UFC contract, this domain will be worth thousands. Either way, as the debut of the show draws closer, the traffic should increase as people become more excited about it. However, if Kimbo loses his first fight, he'll probably fade away and the domain's value will fade with it.

So the choice is yours - you can probably get $1000-$2000 for the domain today or you can wait and see what happens.

What's the daily traffic/revenue like on the site currently?

    Thanks dlm,

To be completely honest, I haven't even started thinking about implementing any revenue sources onto the site as I believe in building trust first, then with trust conversions will follow.

I'm currently getting about 30 unique visitors a day with a 30% bounce rate. I've done barely any link building at all. I've probably manually attempted and successfully acquired 5 links. Everything comes from SERPs.

The great thing about Kimbo's appearance on TUF 10 is that they've changed the rules and he can't get knocked out in the first episode. He'll be on the show for a long time. It was a wise choice by UFC as he'll be the biggest appearance on the show.

    Thanks again for your reply.

I would look at implementing revenue streams soon - that way you can test stuff out now and get it running smoothly, so that when the traffic really picks up in September, you'll be making as much money as possible. If you end up selling the domain/site, a large part of the value will come from how much revenue it is generating.

    Hi Mentos,

Yes, all content on my site is unique. The videos are of course, as they're YouTube. However, every piece of verbiage on the site is unique.

    Thanks for your advice!
