My website is live for weeks,still not indexed by google.

    Hello people,

    I have a website called eastdelhi.info , its been live for weeks now, but still google hasnt indexed it.
    If i search for my domain name in google.com, i dnt see it in results, instead i see eastdelhi.com as first result.

    What could be wrong ?

    Something to do with robots.txt ?

    How many inbound links do you have? ... You dont link to it in your signiture so I presume not many.
    Have you submited its sitemap to google/msn/ask ?

    Getting indexed has nothing to do with how long your website has been online, its about getting other websites linking to you and you having good unique content so those links stay on their websites.

    I launched two websites recently, each where indexed within a link as they had good content, and I was able to link them to my other websites, friends, sitemaps, directories, signatures and related topics/blogs.

    P.S. eastdelhi.info is slow for me.

    I have already submitted it to google.com
    And it should atleast list in google search upon searching for it by its name ...

    Try to gain some important backlinks to your site from other relevant websites. Also, put your link here in your signature, and then add some content. You should be indexed soon.

    Google don't care about that submission. As you can see when submit a website, they said it wount be indexed immediately, but trust me, it will not be indexed until google spider find you link on other relevant pages.

    If you submitted it to google, it should at least show up. If you search for like your domain in google, something should show. If it still isn't in the system and you've added it via the submit url website, then that's fishy.

    Dont worry, sometime bots takes time to get the new sites indexed. Get some more content and regularly do social bookbarking on digg, stumbleupon, furl, reddit etc.

    Submit your articles to digg and try to make some link exchange with websites in the same niche. You will get indexed soon ;)

    Strange, even this thread has been indexed by google, as it contains the link to a website. I see this thread in results when i search for my website domain name.

    But i still dont see the website listed, it should have been listed now,since this page containing the url to website has been indexed.
