one of my website has been hacked http://www.strategicforays.com/ and hosting support team not responding please help in this
What kind of web hosting provider is it, that doesn't respond ? Are you using free web hosting ? Anyway, first thing I would do is temporary shout down the website by moving contents to another directory.
First of all, you should change your hosting provider that does not respond to your support requests. To get the issue resolved, you will have to restore your latest backup from the control panel, do you have the back up and access to the control panel?
Try to access your website pages from control panel and check out if it's just index page that was defaced or the whole site got messed. At least you can remove that defaced index page.
It appears as if it's only the home page has been hacked. Upload the homepage again and you are good for now. After that contact your webhost. From cpanel download your raw stats and send that file to your host, or try to find out any suspicious URL in the file yourself. If you find a URL that looks suspicious, then you can try to secure that page. Also make sure that you are not storing the password of your hosting account in "remember password" features of windows or ftp softwares. I was once hit by a virus on my PC, and the next day all my websites got hacked because the password was stored in windows "remember password" boxes. Take care
You will be in bad shape if Hostgator doesn't help you with this issue. They need to scan your site for any uploaded phpshells, which is the primary (and the easiest) entry point to hack any website.
Use ifube.com to keep an eye on your files, you'll be notified if/when they will be changed next time.
If your website looking good and your product market has been popular then chances of hacking you website is too high. You have to attentive for that. Keep eye on every activities related your website.
