    Hi

One of my websites got hacked. When i open the website it is all written that "hacked". Bothing else. Just a small popup when I open the website saying " !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "

    Thats it

I don't want to use the website anymore so I have changed the dns and also removed all the files from my hosting.

Is there any risk to my computer as I opened the website?
Am I now on the safe side?

    Please help urgent

    Best Regards

you are on safe side. the whole server was hack, not just your site.

change password of ur hosting. and tell this issue to your hosting company...

I suggest using a really hard password to crack.

Simple things such as putting a smile :) at the end of a password can really help. Change the passwords weekly also.

Also if using cPanel it can help generate your own password.

your host should also be able to assist you in determining how the attack happened..

I would 100% ask the host to look into the issue.

But if you really concern about the security, we need to change the password periodically :)

Assuming that his whole server was hacked is a pretty big assumption for little to no details.

Changing the password will not gain much, its most likely a vulnerability within the script(s) which you use, which has allowed the attacker(s) to exploit your site.

Secure password or not, someone can still take down your site via insecure permissions or vulnerabilities within a script.

Not all hosts want to spend hours investigating an issue which was essentially caused by the clients lack of security and maintenance within the hosting account.

As i said above, changing passwords weekly is not going to gain much. Most security breaches are via vulnerabilities/exploits.

Get someone to check out your scripts and ensure the security hole is patched to stop your site from being hacked again.

Don't let people mis-inform you, get a professional in to fix it.

It's funny how people want help once their website is hacked, but when they see people like us offering cheap services to do a site diagnostic, they just ignore it and tell them selves it won't make them money.

Anyways, hope you backed your stuff up!
