SERP's continually evolve. You may be on page 1, one day and page 10 the next. It depends on what you are doing and what your competition is doing. You have to keep at it.
Just because your PageRank goes up doesn't mean your rankings will go up or stay the same. If someone has a better site than yours with more quality content they're probably going to get pushed above you.
Well I can only find one back link to the site so maybe that's why. I see an empty spot where an image was, the 'about' text is on a few pages according to copyscape and not much text anyway and the text there is seems to be on multiple pages. If you have done some social bookmarking it might have been giving you a spike in the SERP's temporarily and if you done them right before the recent PR update it might be why you your PR went up so it might go back down.
