I even type in the EXACTLY url and it doesnt show up. This is odd!

Originally my website was just a static html one, so i think maybe it had a problem indexing it. i just switched to wordpress and resubmitted it to google to be crawled, but its still not showing up.

To be shown up in google your website needs crawling and indexing by google. For this, first you must have a good on page SEO on your website. Make your website fully optimized and then build some quality back links to be listed in Google

Thats the weird part, I just recently had a crap ton of articles submitted to article directories and have had pretty much 40+ indexed.

    url is:
    cobraradardetector*net

It happens that Google remove sites when they are not able to fetch your site pages when the crawler visit to it. There are chances that your site may be removed from index when you was migrating from static to wordpress.

You need not to be panic. Setup wordpress, add some good unique contents and then submit to Google. Sign up to google webmaster tool and submit your sitemap. Your site will be crawled after some time.

There might be a chance that your website has been banned because of breaking some Google rules.

    Hi,

Dynamic of static sites would have no difference for indexing purpose, IMO. Also, submitting to search engines would not guarantee for anything. You need to update your blogs or sites regularly and increase backlinks from high PR(above 5) sources.

    all the best,
