Hey dudes and dudettes, I recently got into webdesign/webmaking/putting on ad's on my site. This is my first website (not counting the one I made in geocity back in 6th grade), and I could use a bit of ideas to help me IMPROVE the site. The images are down, but will get on that... for some reason, they just got wiped =/. www.summer-glau.org Yes, a celebrity site, and I plan on making a butt-ton of them. Just saying hello and introducing myself as well as my website. Critiques are always welcomed. I need help getting this badboy(er.. girl) on google's 1st page (or possibly first 3 links) and if you'd like to help out, let me know I'll do my best to learn! Thanks for reading!
you should keep reading on applying seo methods, lots of info in this forum. it takes time and will be long till you come up there . look at the search engine section.
With most of my image based sites, I find that if your images have "alt" tags, they come up on the image search very high up. I noticed a lot of your images don't have anything in the alt tags. I was going to say one of the main things is to have a table-less design, but you've already got that, so that's one step in the right direction. If you haven't submitted your site to Google yet, wait a while, until you have all the things in place you need, because the web spider only visits every once in a while, so you want to get it right the first time it visits.
