my vps is using almost 1.4gb of ram for no reason

    hi guys. ive been having this issue for weeks now.
    my website has wordpress and vbulletin forums only. and everytime i check the top stats, it says im using almost 1.4gb of ram. does this make any sense? i only have almost 100 users online on the forums. plz help. thank you!

    Can you run "ps aux --sort -rss" and post or PM the result? This will show exactly what is using the memory.

    Hello there,

    Since you run a forum, odds are that MySQL is using a fair amount of RAM, which is good, in most cases. RAM is faster access than disk. Are you running out of RAM on the system, or, are you just concerned about the amount being used?
