    i think you can add more newspaper image at the background, or add a journalist photo and modify the opacity :)

    not bad.. Try searching for header and navigation photoshop tutorials to learn more effects and currently inn styles(vista gloss effect, etc) to apply on ur designs. Also always keep in mind color scheme is key to designing.

    Well, some points:

    1 .- The excess electric blue has never been good.
    2 .- The image of the newspaper make it bigger, that gets lost in the middle of the design.
    3 .- Change typography.
