What is the procedure to change my username?

Typo3 told me that only Shawn can do it.

I want to keep my username "Mayank"

I will be logging in by mayank name only.

This is the right way, you could have also PMed Shawn about this.

But as soon as Shawn sees this thread, your username would be changed.

AFAIK, when your username is changed, your login name changes as well.

 

I think DP should just put a note up on registration. Please pick your name carefully. We do not change usernames after registration.

Seems like there has been a huge rash of it recently. Especially when people have over a couple hundred posts; then the next day you have no idea who they are.

I agree with you. Lately i have noticed too many name change requests.

If they are gonna be allowed, we shouldv'e a board/sticky where we can check who was who!!!

 

You should have to pay $50.00 to have a name change, unless it's for example because a n00bies registeres as an E-Mail address!!

forumsolutions, you can try to change your username to Mayan K. - the space and the period will make it a different username in the database.

ohhh would shawn neglect any suggestion by his/her modertors. i think Shannon name already use that.

 

I wonder what percentage of name changes are from people who named themselves after a domain name? I know I was penispumps.com before I got my name changed.
