My URL registered by somebody else: I want it back

    Hi,

My URL www.boincstats.com is registered by someone unknown to me. Not me ( nor anyone I have instructed or allowed to) but someone else has claimed this URL in the Co-op ad NW.

As it is my domain, I'd like to have it assigned to me.

Can you please release the domain, assign it to my account (my Co-op ad NW account is BOINCstats) or send me the login codes for the current account.

    Thanks very much in advance.

Just click this ICON [IMG] in the top of the post and report yourself. (You won't get in trouble if it was an honest mistake)

Not the domain itself but the use of it in the ad network.

Hang on, do I understand right?

It isn't that someone is pointing there 'weight' at your domain, they have actually registered your domain as if it is going to display ads?

Even though they can't do this because they won't have access FTP on your site etc?

Sorry, I'm half asleep - just wanted to understand correctly.

I don't know what they did/how they did it, but when I want to add www.boincstats.com to my account I get an error that it is already in use.

I would email them if I knew where to send it. It seems that these kind of requests should be made in this forum.

I have a similar problem, as I registered with a username and email address which I can't remember. The username I don't remember, the email addy I can't remember because I think autofill put in one of my spam addressess which are always random. It is the account tied with mattparnell.com , and it has more weight than any of my other sites combined, but I can't do anything about it, and I need help...

Nobody has helped me either. Good luck, it seems this isn't something they worry about much.

So, what I have done is redirecting all traffic from www.boincstats.com to boincstats.com, as this seems to be the only way of getting the co-op on all my pages.

I don't understand what you are complaining about, what does DP have to do with your domain?

Let me quote myself from a few posts above (but a few months ago):
Let me explain in more detail: Somebody somehow registered a domain of me (www.boincstats.com) in the co-op, making it unable for me to register and use it. So I want the admin to release it.
