My unique articles have been copied!

I created several articles and got them submitted, doing a search on Google I find that the article has been copied and the BIO replaced by the siteowners url.

All the article submission sites stipulate that the article must if used MUST include the bio otherwise it's against their Terms Of Use.

    Any advice?

Start by reading the copyright sticky at the top of the thread.

Unless I am looking in the wrong place, I can't see a sticky at the top of the Legal Issue threads.

    Someone removed the sticky.

Write the site and tell them they need to include your url. If they don't comply, you can file a DMCA with their host. If they are hosted in the US, the host will remove the page or entire site. You can also file a DMCA with any search engine you want to remove the site from their index.

You can find templates to follow for the DMCA by doing a google search.

Absolutely. If they're not using the material in accordance with the license that you granted by posting it on the article sites, you have every right to have them taken down. The best place to look for DMCA notices is at the DMCA notice library at chillingeffects.org.

Let me know if you have other questions.
