Well most of the traffic seem to land directly on my index page. But there is still a decent amount that ends up on the various article pages. Maybe I should try somehow get article pages to be ranked higher in search engines then.

And i checked the bounce rate now in analytics, pretty high: around 50%. But thats most likely because I get a lot of traffic from digg, shoutwire, netscape and similar sites that has news and links to spesific articles people close after reading.

And yes, if you have any suggestions on something you think could increase the 5% CTR I'm more than happy to listen :)

Maybe I will give the color changing script a try just to see how it affects the CTR. Anyone know how to make a script like that, or have one ready I can just copy and paste? ;)

thanks for sharing. I would try that with some of my sites but it seems like so many ads unless each page has a lot of content.

Yeah well my pages do have lots of content, some of my pages are very long. I guess on sites with less content on each page it would be better with fewer ad units. But then again, on my video pages I have little content, its basically just the videoclip and a short info text, but i have good ctr on these pages too even though its full of ads hehe. But on that notice, I might try reduce a couple ad units from those pages, so there will be shown more high paying ads and see if the ctr will keep the same and bring in more money than it does with many ad units on the page.

I have used less units on a couple of my sites, and found my ctr remained the same, but the payout was higher. Im sure it would be worth a try, I went from 8 differant ads displayed down to 4 per page, and it helped alot.
