My Twitter account got hacked... need help.

Hopefully someone will be able to help me. It seems like someone hacked my Twitter account. I noticed it when I say a couple Facebook updates that were fed by my Twitter feed with SPAM links. I tried to log on to my Twitter account but my password wasn't working. Worse yet, when I tried to use the password recovered link, it was saying that my email address was not correct. Seems like the hacker changed the password and my email.

What do I do? I already submitted it to Twitter, but I am not getting a response. They are probably trying to contact me with the email address that the hacker changed my account to. What do I do?

 

Call them up, probably?

It'll be hard to get it back in your situation, though. :-(

 

I think it is due to some apps you are using on Twitter. check them. Read Who is using twitter when you are away

 

I can't change the settings because I can't get in to my account.

Is there a phone number to call?

Finally got Twitter support to recover it for me.

 

contact email support

 

contact to that hacker using another twitter acount and also check whats he doing....

 

in case anyone else still didn't saw op's post.
He resolved the issue.
