Hi every one, I have travel sites. Since last month my sites traffic suddenly go down but my keywords ranking still same. i'm doing same SEO activities as before like smo, articles submissions, blogs posting and other seo activities. I'm confused what's the reason behind this.
Perhaps you are now in a series of months where people would prefer much to be at home than travel. And search traffic is affected by that. That is why google introduced or incorporated search trend per keyword on the google keyword tool to tell everyone not to expect a steady month search volume per month as it can possible go up and down. Take patience. Though if the same thing continues, you might want to consider expanding your keywords list.
Well, all thanks to Google Mayday Mayhem. Big G shifted their algorithm somewhere in May and many small/niche sites got hit somewhere in June. I believe your ranking is the same for your main keyword though. For many, the falling traffic are on the long tail keywords.
Traffic going down? Have you lost your rankings? If so, then that will be the most probable reason why. If not, then it may be just that time of the year where people travel less.
Travel/holiday traffic goes down in July/August every year since I am observing (12 years now) nothing strange with that - everyone interested in the "theme" is on holiday or has booked!
