My Top Tip

Yeah it's an old one already, but for the newbies, if you accidentally click on your own ads - like I did about an hour ago (stupid ALT + TAB didn't co-operate with me!) - then contact Google straight away!

I emailed them straight after just saying that I accidentally clicked on my ad that is assigned to the channel 'X'. About 30 minutes later I got an email back off them saying
So honesty IS the best policy!

Luckily that accidental click didn't earn me anything anyways, which is good, as I don't wish to jepordise my account. :)

Also if you want to see where your ads goto then why not use Google's AdSense Preview Tool? For more information on it, click here.

Just a little evening tip for you all. ;)

One method I use is to set a cookie and if my
script detects it then ca-test is used... sometimes I filter by IP too (.e.g. my work IP as it's static).

I agree, but do not send them an email after clicking like 30 times in the sapce of a few days and expect them to send you an email back as nice as the one above.:D

Actually you do not need to email Google to tell them of one accidental click.

By not doing so... you will give a deluged tech the chance to help someone with real problems.

Google knows when you click your own ads... and understand we all make mistakes.....
