Figure i get asked this a lot so would do a post on my top 5 ways to get a website ranked very very fast. 1. Pr Blog comment.... what can say high pr anchor text links i can get in 10 seconds.... its rather nice. Usually stick above pr 3 unless its an aa blog then will go down to pr 1 2. High pr forum posting... i get about 5-10 contextual links from each forum i post on. Just a matter of finding high pr forums and the pages that already have pr 3. Article marketing.... 1-5 articles a week submitted to the top 10 article directories... i dont spin anymore 4. Guest blogging.... If your market is really hard this is the second most powerful way to get backlinks in my opinion. 5. The most powerful way to get backlinks is..... high pr 3 way link trades. Link from them to your money site you link to them with a different website.... great pr though hard to find people to do this with sometimes. This whole plan can be done with under an hour a day.... 5 days a week.... and can produce over 500 links a month... get it get it!
p.s. yes i know about press releases, video marketing, rss syn, and many many more but the ones i listed are the ones that work best for me
agreed i keep it in my general niche... got a few from here already and im new here.... got to love it
What's been your general time frame in terms of a) building the link b) the link indexing with the search engines c) the ranking changes? 6 months? 1 year?
Thanks for the information, with the 3 way link, won't the search engines notice that the link to your site is on the same c-block as the site you link out from?
I'm new to this link building thing but have had success in getting ranked by simply submitting a few articles to different directories so I agree with number 3. I'm still learning about anchor text links and will implement the other strategies mentioned here. Thanks for the tips.
A good solid list. It's important to focus your efforts rather than sepnding hours every day building links from any resource you find, only for the links obtained to be worthless. As a directory owner, I still see the value in directory submissions as part of a well balanced link building programme.
It is very necessary for me to get rank for my site. Not so difficult, but it takes patience to do. Thanks for the info very helpful.
Does PR really make a difference anymore? The websites I used to use for looking it up don't even seem to work anymore. Other than the methods mentioned link baiting is very powerful if done correctly.
My Top 5 Link Building Strategies are : Forum Posting. Blog Commenting. Press Release. Link Wheel. Social BookMarking.
what are your top 10 article directories. why dont you use link wheel and link pyramids? It actually also depends on the competition. whats thype of competition you have ... like EXACT keyword in google search result what are total number of results returned
Hey Matt- I think you make a good point regarding relevancy in your back link profile. There is a guy by the name of Matt Carter (ever heard of him?) who believes relevancy is irrelevant. His argument is that at some point, you run out of relevant opportunities or at least high quality, relevant opportunities. Kinda like a point of diminishing returns. From my personal experience, a backlink profile that has a good amount of relevant links will rank higher than one without a high level of relevancy. What's your take on this? It would be fun to conduct an experience on this subject matter.
