ummm, ya there is... for one it's old as hell. Why do we want to see the same content on top of it's category - pushing newer info down the list, when the thread has been discussed again and again over 7 years...? PLUS, a lot of the info is not valid these days anyway. Old tactics... ya, go ahead and follow them and see what happens... Maybe you want to read the entire thread then learn about EMD updates... I will say this, having more entities is a good idea, but they don't cost as much as posted. and I doubt 95% of the people reading it don't even make the amount suggested to do what is suggested....
Ya, some people didn't read it and thought that was what it was about and bumped the old thread. You are right though.
But i think every site has its own features of colors and placement. For shure the best places for adsense are before and after content and in the head of site. Colors might be similar to text in your pages. Headings should be large! Sometimes very good to put ads before and after your pictures.
