My thread was deleted?

I created a thread a few hours ago offering free personalized cartoon avatars to digital point members and asking for nothing in return.

I come back and it's deleted? I've no idea why? I don't believe I'm breaking any rules? I'm offering my artistic skills for free. Surely this is only a good thing? Or am I wrong? If a mod could message me, that would be great?

    Thanks

You must have been reported by someone. The mod probably read the report and agreed, and then deleted your thread. Did you receive a warning with an accompanying e-mail?
P.S. Did you also lose a like with the thread deletion?

Threads offering a service, even a free one, need to go in the right section. There used to be a cheap stuff section where all those free things could be posted, but now they need to go into the correct category. Yours probably belonged in the Services/Design forum section. Usually the mods just move a thread, but I guess you did not have permission to post in that section yet.

Ah, this would be down to that annoying '3 likes required' thingy. I get that it's the rules but it seems so petty. I chose to offer the avatars here but I guess I'll just defect to Warrior Forums instead. Don't think they have the 3 likes rule there.

I believe they have a $10 registration fee, still going to defect?;)

Just get a couple likes and then post your thread in the right section. I might take you all of a day to get 2 more likes.
