My theory on why PR has not yet updated yet

    Your title must be changed. PR update is taking place slowly. Some sites were updated already like mine. Statcounter.com from pr9 to pr8, Johnchow.com from pr6 to pr6, and many more sites are updated.

    Don't tell us Google has not yet updated.

    There will always be PR theories amongst webmasters because Google does a great job at keeping much of what it does under wraps.

    I also think google does want toolbar PR to reflect more up to date web page status, because it is also telling the general public (not just webmasters) how google values a page, and it is not in google's interest to screw it up. ... and 12 month old toolbar PR will be misleading for many webpages.

    Bottom line, IMO, google is keen for the toolbar PR to be exported and they are also probably a little concerned with the delays - no doubt caused by fine tuning algo changes to try and minimise the impact of link selling, etc.

    In the mean time chill out, toolbar PR export will happen :D
