My Test: Are Directory Submission Services worth it?

No, I differ, most people who money, do not hand submit, i think they use some software or some thing. Just think in about 15-20 dollars, i hand submitting to thousands of rngine worth it?

However, if you have any such site in mind, which submits honestly and helps, please one for my site too www.b2blounge.com

 

Now the site is way down on the 5th page, looks like it didnt say where it got to.

 

I'm seeing it at the top of page 2 - pretty good stuff here! It might even motivate me to go through the mind numbing tedium of submitting to even MORE directory services....<mixes a rum and coke and gets to work>

Hey guys,

I am going to start a fresh test with a new site (less than two months old). The site is currently PR0 and is in position ~290 for search term "mountain biking news" (pictured below).

A 150 basic directory site submission will be done by Tuning and the results will be posted here periodically. I guess there is not much else to say except, Merry Christmas!

Get a free E-Mail Address and visit each of those sites, register your website and some may need confirmation, so use your free E-Mail Address.

I went up to a PR3 on one of my websites with the Google Search Engine and ALL 20 pages on my website were indexed. Most directories have PR4 Sub-Directories linking to you. That really does help in the long run.

I did a little test on this once and found that baclkins from directories DO help..

I submitted 10 sites to the same directories, and about a week later about half had predicted PR3 on 10 of 10 google servers.. Yet to see whether the prediction is correct, gotta wait till the PR update ... But I can tell you in the past I have done the same, and it does work!!!

 

Really good test. I really appreciate you Ivan for sharing this.
But I'm also interested to know whether the submission also affects your traffic (logically yes, since your site goes up on google), but still I'm curious how far it affects the traffic, if you don't mind please share the info.

ps. if you don't like to show the exact numbers, maybe the percentage?

Great test!! I might try this on a totally new site (registered today.) and see how many visitors it can get from only directory submissions!!

Directory submission services really help in google and other search engines.

You may want to try MSN to find your back links as MSN is much faster to index and show backlinks as compared to Google and Yahoo.
