My take on getting sandboxed

When I was young and SEO inexperianced (about two months ago) I heard the way to sucess was building backlinks, so away to do that I did go. I was building backlinks on two internal pages. Pages that had existed for months, and while not at the top of SERP results, had stable, consistent placement.

Very quickly (about a week or two later) those pages did not turn up in SERP results at all. About a week ago I got one to pop out of the sandbox buy getting some high PR-pages to link to it.

The other page is still not in SERP results. So this is my thought. I got sandboxed by building a lot (dozens, less than 200 each) of PR0 links to my two pages quickly, and I think a critical part, not having any higher-PR ranked backlinks.

I think Google sees a sudden rush of PR0 backlinks as a bad sign/spammy, and pulls your page until Google sees something more interesting pointing to the page.

I am looking to build some high-PR links to the second page and see if it re-appears soon after doing so.

Is it beneficial to link building before not allowing any of your web pages to be archived or indexed or cached? Please Quote me, thanks.
