My swf files make my webpage load very slow.

I have 2 flash movies on my webpage

I used the external playback feature that come with adobe flash so no coding was required for me.

The problem is that the movies load at the same time as the webpage therefore on a slower connection it pretty much does not even show the webpage until the flash videos has loaded (which takes about 40 seconds)

So this is a very bad situation and I can not figure out how to get around it any suggestions?

Is it possible to have the flash video only load once someone has pushed play?

I think the keyword here is External. If it was linked internaly it would be a lot faster!

Please explain, the video is linked internally on the website.

When you drag a flv movie into adobe flash it has option to add the movie to a timeline or use the external playback feature so it has a play button, seek bar and other things.

This is what I mean by external playback feature...
