You could figure it out on your own - raw log files.

I know AMRAY Directory was listed in DMOZ around 2006 but then it was removed after old Webmaster for almost 2 years fought with editors to make some changes to titles and descriptions and…. hard to believe, requested removal of obsolete site (amrayweb.com) from DMOZ Index. As always when editors get mad, the site, at least one of them becomes a victim.

“Official reason” given: un-authorized use of DMOZ data.

About 2 years ago our Marketing Rep. submitted AMRAY Directory again and if DMOZ still has it in pending bin, then what you’re saying makes sense and it explains occasional visits.

    :)

I have no knowledge of this matter, but it would be a valid reason for removal.

I believe that any site or person can use the dmoz data providing they use the correct attributes. A very simple matter, but one that many sites fail to do. Using the data without placing the correct attribution, in my mind, amounts to stealing the editors hard work.

Any reasonable person would understand this :)
