Hey guys, I was doing pretty good for a new product that I am promoting. I was ranked #1 on google for some highly competitive search terms. Getting like 300,000+ results. Now my lens is nowhere to be found. I don't get it. I want my spot back. I earned that spot! I added some new content to my lens and I will ping it tonight. I am hoping that will fix the problem. There's your answer right there! People catch on to new products, especially if gravity is gaining momentum. Write more articles and link back to your lense. Create new lenses and link back. Link from where ever you can. It's all about the links! Word of caution: If you are using Squidoo with success, never change any of your titles of your modules. They all use header tags and can knock you out of contention if you change them up.
Welcome to this big game called Internet Marketing my friend. The fact that you cannot find your lens does not mean that you have done something wrong to it, it simply means that more competitors are coming after you and the product you are promoting. Don`t just hope that only one squidoo lens is going to give you all the money that you need. What you need to do right now is to go create more squidoo lenses related to this product or niche that you are promoting, bookmark them, add content to your lenses and etc... When I have a product that is a big hit, I usually open a new squidoo account for it and just keep creating lens about the topic so when my competitors beat one of my lens, I will have 5 more replacing it and I won`t need to start scratching my head about it. Always remember that squidoo is not your company, they can stop sending traffic to your lens or banned it whenever they want to, so you need to think ahead of them and you can do so by creating more lenses, more accounts and so much more. You should also consider of getting yourself your own site, if you don`t have one already
Once you get good rankings on Squidoo with a lens don't let it drop. If it drops on Squidoo it could disappear from the search results.

I am positive that competition is not beating me I have been link building this lens for a while.....I have an arsenal of direct and indirect backlinks. I did however refresh one of my modules Titles.... Yeah this sucks man I was looking to do dominate.....so there is no chance for it showing back up huh? Lame.... Yes I agree if it is a new product that there isnt too much competition on or if other affiliates were currently working on their promotions then you will rank number one for a limited time unless you are constantly building back links adding new content etc after you have done the work dont expect that you will always stay in the same position. Start creating links through articles, signatures, ebooks etc for traffic, social bookmarking sites also, links on all your blogs, link swapping etc loads of ideas.

I just did a character check on my site with google and there are 67 pages indexed with a link to my site(much of these pages can be found ranked highly for the term I was #1 for). I don't know if that is good or not. My site is still gone. I went through and edited the content on all the modules today. I am currently doing some research to see if I can make Google love me again. LOL... Any help as always greatly appreciated, Micanator
Very nice system. I wouldn't leave that link up for too long. You are giving away a lot of your secrets!! Anyways, it may go back to what I said earlier about changing module titles. Have you renamed the one back to the original title? I'm just speaking from experience here and there is no way to verify the results, but that is exactly what happened to one of my lenses.
Thanks.....Yeah I will take it down in a bit, but it is only nice if it works....and I have yet to make substantial money using this system. Unfortunately, I don't remember what it was earlier. I never realised how powerful squidoo was, i just found it very constraintive (?). But yeah, i just realised this was old.. so.. you're probly over it now so i guess i will leave it here =P. -Aidan.
