If you are not an expert then it is advised you don't make your own ecommerce website, unless you want to lose all your money.

There are lots of ecommerce solutions, just google and you will see a lot.

PHP and MySQL isn't hard to learn but yes it's not advised to make your own eCommerce if you're not an expert...

yes i would not advise making your own e commerce as security vulnerabilities are the biggest concern.

You could always build on top of different prebuilt systems like zencart, os commerce, or magento

PHP or .Net are all fine for making a dynamic website

MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle are all fine for the database of a dynamic website

All of these are free too (as long as you have a windows computer)

There are some things that are worth writing yourself and there are some things that there are too many good solutions already out there and I believe that ecommerce generally sits in the second camp unless you want to have something that is totally off the wall.

If there was a best there would only be one. Both PHP and .Net have their advantages and disadvantages. Unless you intend to do heavy modification then simply get a system that is closest to your personal requirements and dont be too hung up on what technology its built in.

MySQL for sure. I suggestion is, Use prestashop as your ecommerece site as you are new, after getting advanced, you can use Magento.
