Hi, I have seen quite a few people talking about my space being used as a marketing tool. I wanted to know if anyone knows how this work? How do you set the up your page? Do you just advertise your link on your my space blog? Thanks
My page is set up for my business. It is under my business name with links to my site and blog. I have over 500 friends and do get a lot of traffic from it. I have added quite a few names to my mailing list as a result.
MySpace, like many other social networking websites, requires you to register (free) and allows you to create your own profile also known as your own personal page. Fill this profile completely. Once this page has been created, you can easily invite other members to become a member of your network. Before you invite other members, it is important that you customize right away so it looks different. Use the profile editor to change the colors, add background images and photos, and fill in your bio information. Then add plenty of good content, including pictures and links to your other websites, on your profile page. Remember your MySpace profile is an extension of you in this cyber community so you want it to be a great representation of whom you are and why people would want to get to know you. Don’t settle for the generic profile page they start you out with! Add your personality and don’t just post a bunch of hype or business talk; remember people come to MySpace to find other people so if you seem bogus on your profile you won’t do well with MySpace site.
As an experiment, I set my default myspace pic as the url of my tshirt affiliate site. I made $42 in a couple days. LOL... I guess I should try doing that again.
