Help with index html. I've uploaded two different sites under two different hosting companies and both sites have "site under construction"and "web stats not enabled". Customer support help at the hosting companies said they cannot locate the index.html.in the uploaded files Using filezilla I upload Index. html folders for both sites but the sites are not showing up in IE or Firefox. My godaddy sites has "web stats not enabled" even after changing my web stats under my account.
Make sure that your file is named "index.html" and not "Index.html" (Some servers are case sensitive) Make sure that you uploaded the file to the right directory (often "pub" or "httpdocs") Make sure that the file you uploaded was named "index.html" and not "index.html.txt" (notepad sometimes gets one past you)
upload the file to folder "pub" or "httpdocs" or "public_html" or "yourdomainname.com" And please delete the delete "index.htm" or "index.html" file already exists on your hosting.
