Hello Friends, I have installed the "SearchStatus" Add-On for Firefox. It displays the "Google pagerank" and "Alexa rank" in the status bar for all websites. It has been doing a good job. I tested many times by comparing this pagerank with those obtained from prchecker.info and checkpagerank.com I did the same for Alexa rank too. But, it fails for my site. My site is http://templora.com/ It shows the alexa rank as 138,607 It is correct. And it shows Google Pagerank as 5/10 But when i check with sites like prchecker.info and checkpagerank.com , they show as 0/10 so, whats happening and which is true ? do anyone else have this add-on and what rank do you see for my site ? Thanks,
This can be fixed by using a 301 redirect from your http://domain.com to your http://www.domain.com. This will fix the canonical issue that causes a split in your PR. If your site is properley SEO'd - this shouldn't happen. Also, your PR can vary depending on which datacenter you hit. Try checking multiple DCs at once with this: http://livepr.raketforskning.com/
It maybe as a result of PR rollback/refresh that is going on at google DC, you can not get accurate PR of the site during this period, maybe you have to wait till the PR update to know where you belong.
Yeah, the toolbar PageRank is taken from a single DC at a single time - if that DC is fluctuating then you're value isn't accurate. Obviously checkpagerank.com is acquiring data from a different DC.
