I registered and have been working a lot on my new website and i just found out that my page ranking is now +5, it used to be 0. I registered this domain in november but i have backlinks and quality website. I didn't spam anywhere, didn't send any emails. Just got some backlinks from other websites, posted on forums with website link in the signature, used facebook heavily for it. My other website which is a tech blog got +2 after a few months but i don't have any backlinks for that. I just get traffic from google and I did add my sitemaps to google, bing and yandex webmaster tools.
That's great! It seems like it took me forever just to reach PR3. You must've seriously been on your grind.
Well, that means that your hard work has paid off to you big time. Now-a-days having a PR5 for a site is a huge achievement, only because there has been very less quality content on the sites anymore. I hope you maintain your ranking for this coming update too BTW dont stop doing what you have been doing for your site since you bought the domain, that is the key to success! Congrats.
That's a wonderful achievement. I want to know subject matter of your website and which type of forum you have used for posting. Your signature links show PR 2 and another is not a site at all. So you didn't submit your signature here. But you said that you posted on forums with website link in the signature.
May be you could make an ebook of how you achieve pr5 in 3 month and sell it. I am sure many people would buy it
well if it's Gexxfactor , it ranks 2. why dont you share your website domain with us. Also please share those forums and tell us how you got backlinks. We are all curious to find out your success story
I have also got PR 3 from 0 for just 3 months old site, By doing only quality work no spam, No 0 PR work!!
Well i'm surprised too. I checked it on prchecker.info and on checkpagerank.net and both says 5 for my domain afghanwiki.com. It's a wiki website and the content is about Afghanistan. Forums that i've been posting are other Afghan websites with fairly good PR and backlinks are also Afghan websites with fairly good PR again. I'd love it if it really is PR5, but if someone could confirm it that'll be great. thanks guys
yes geexfactor.com is the blog i was talking about. I have that domain for 8 months or so but I wasn't using it until 3-4 months and i'm not marketing this domain as much. I'm just keeping it as is until I have enough quality content on the website. I'm gonna let google index it and people will start coming and backlinking it as they feel it.
I'm guessing you have added a lot of good quality content on your sites, and probably some internal linking (to and from pages on your own site). Thats almost certainly why you have some page rank (for the second site at least since you have no backlinks). Of course the other links you did get would have helped as well. Content is where the focus should be and sounds likes you have done an excellent job with this. Keep up the good work. Page rank of course has nothing to do with traffic, but now you have some page rank you can start using it to help specific keyword phrases to rank better in the search engines.
