check the amount of indexed google pages using the API tool in DP's backlink tracker. If google has dropped loads of your pages as per that, that is your reason. Supplemental pages do not count towards weight but googles site: command still counts them when counting your pages

    Thanks for your reply.

DP's "pages in URL" shows 482. But when I checked in Google for the site:, it shows 55300 pages. In this there are only 140 supplemental results

I use the following to find our pages in Google . Please note that "we get" word is common on all our pages. This excludes orphan pages. If you use 100 results/page and click on “repeat the search with the omitted results included.”, you will find 1000 results ( actual results are more but google shows only 1000)

    site:www.dealgain.com " we get"

    My questions are
    1) what is the DP's "pages in URL" logic ?
    2) what do you think as a problem

    Thanks in advance.

It works it out based on the google API key, so essentially what google sees as 'proper' pages rather than what it displays with site:

With the amount of pagesyou said the DP tool shows, your weight could well be right. Not knowing what it showed before though it is difficult to say. They may just have dropped them temporarily, keep track of it over the next few days

    Thanks again.
we use to have a weight of 2500+ a couple of weeks back. This is before google's recent backlinks update. Before the update we use to have about 1000 pages with Google (i.e site:) and 250 back links.

Now we have 66000+ pages in google (site: ), 850+ backlinks and weight is 450+

we are not able to identify the problem. Please help us

hmm, well if the API is showing pages then I don't know. I can say for sure that backlinks, regardless of how many you have do not contribute to weight at all. Keep checking over the next few days and see if it all irons itself out.

the number pages in Google is now 150K, "Pages in URL" on the digital point is unchanged (Old and new value is 482 for the last few days). But the weight is further reduced from "450" to "350" in last 2 days. One month back, the weight was 2500.

I am scary, Please help. why this is happening ?

Good thing you don't have a webcam :)

There is nothing you can do except wait for the API to start gathering more pages.
