My site was on page 2 two weeks ago, now on pages 5-7... whats up with that?

Hi, I'm new on this forum and don't know much about SEO. What I do know is that up until a week or two ago my site Logistetica.com was #19 for searches "web design Los Angeles" and "web design Orange County" and now it's on page 5 I believe. That's pretty frustrating. Now that being on page 2 gave me many visitors - but now I don't have even that.

Any ideas?

 

Build more relevant links to the site.

 

I'm trying to - that's why I'm here. Just curious why was that sudden drop.

 

Maybe a surge in competition? Getting a good position is easy, maintaining that position is the hard part.

 

You got to keep building links since your competitors are doing that too, if you stop link building or decrease the numbers, the chances are that your ranking will drop but there are other factors too.

 

Build backlinks get more traffic and update content (modification) . . .

 

get some anchored link using this keywords for your url. it might help to move to first page. but, it all depends on how much relevant links your competitor have.

 

Thanks guys. I think the reason is that quite quickly a bunch of web design galleries picked up my site and clients sites so I got a bunch of inbound links all of a sudden, but then nothing was happening for a while and no new links were added.

 

BTW you say "update content". If I update content, e.g. change text a little bit, won't my site rank differently as I will have different keywords?? That's why I am reluctant to update text on the site - because I think it will damage ranking even more. Am I wrong?

 

I have built a stable position for my blog for 2 months. Its no. 1 now in "Money Making and Blogging Tips" keyword. I built thousands of backlinks within 2 months or 60 days. That means atleast build 20 backlinks a day. From the website that appears at the top of the search result for your keyword.

 

20 a day????? How do you get that many????

 

all result of mysterious google algorithm, my post have been moving from page 1-2 and back frequently. So, your site will come back in some time

 

Dear if you want Rank then first analysis your competitive sites.
Analyze them by doing-----
1-Analysis there back link.
2-Analyze there keyword placing.
3-Analyze there keyword density by help of keyword density analyzing tool.
by doing this you will get a good position.
also keep continue you off page work.
