My site was hacked today! please help.

    I can not believe this, today I checked one of my sites and I had a weird homepage see.

    I was running Joomla on the site and the Hosting Cpanel had a fairly good username and password.

    How could this happend, I lost my entire site.

    Any comments?

    I have deleted every file just in case but not sure what to do, should I restore a old backup?

    What makes you keep your site down this long??
    Restore your site, mail to your host and Inform them about this hacking.
    They will look into the secuirty holes...

    I wouldn't use a backup only if I would be 200% sure it has not malicious code.
    You should let someone check it maybe, also your DB.
