My site was getting 1,000,000 hits per month

I started a flash games site about a year ago and after I dedicated my time to the scripts in my sig I pretty much ignored my flash games site.

I was doing something in my cpanel and I checked the sites just for fun. Turns out my little site that I didn't do any maintenance on was getting 10,000 unique visitors with over 1,000,000 page views.

Now I wish I didn't take it down about 2 months ago. Well I'm going to spend next week getting it back up.

Holy moly! You should have checked your stats before you took down the site.
Why did you take it down? It wasn't making enough money?

My web host caught it me. They don't like video/arcade hosting. I always assumed no one wasn't going to a site that hasn't been updated for over a year.

I never really tried making money off of it. Now I'm going to reconsider.

I'm going to write an article on how I started that site. It should get some leads for my other scripts.

    Whao!
10,000 unique visitors with over 1,000,000 page views for not doing anything, cool...
if you include a CPA offer, 10% of 10,000, on a $1 would generate $1000!
    Cheers

I think the writing an article about how you did it is a great idea! How long did it take you to set up the original site? If it didn't take you long, then would you consider setting up multiple sites?

Damn, I didn't of it that way. This was a missed opportunity.

Overall it took about one month. Mainly because I had to manually add the games myself. I am planning on taking 5 of my clients sites and trying to duplicate what I did with their web sites and see the results.

Here is the screenshot. Also on April I had a little less 1 1/2 million.

Please don't write an article. It aint what the World needs or wants to know. Take you dog for a walk instead.

"Hits" are not pageviews and definitely not visitors. If you had 1000 images on a page, you'd get 1001 hits. It has no bearing on reality.

I guess hits don't mean anything. Still 100,000 page views isn't too bad either.
