my site was down during pr update

    No, there is no affect. The PR update is JUST the Toolbar update,
    not the REAL PageRank, which is updated continuously.

    no.it does not affect.Your PR will get affected for sure if all the sites that link to you are down and are not crawlable by bots - do you think that would happen for anyone ?

    It won't affect your pagerank if your website is down because pagerank is calculated with help of backlinks to a site not by uptime or downtime of a website.

    after downing the pr of your website your site position would be dis crease defiantly so for increase you website position u have to optimize your website.
