Well I dont know how, maybe it was hacked, but my site www.aaronnimocks.com was deleted off my dedicated server. I never did any backups and Hostgator doesnt do them for dedicated servers.

So now I need to start all over. :(

Dont be stupid like me and do your backups!

    Sorry to hear that Aaron.
Nobody else but you have access to the server, because most of the time, hackers leave something online ?

And you're right about backups, even if there is automated ones done by the host, it's good habit to make them on regular basis.

Well I think it was caused by ihostdev software. I opened back up my free hosting site for submissions and a site that signed up took the IP of my site and it deleted my site. So dont think it was hacked now but something odd happened and now I wont do free hosting anymore.

Good news is my whole site was cached and it was a blog so it wont take too much effort to get it back to normal.

I do see a website at that address.
Is that your start over work or have you managed to get hold of a backup of some sort?

Google had it fully cached so I just pulled up the cached pages and copy/pasted new blog posts. Since it was a blog it was pretty easy to recover it all. Actually only took about 10 minutes because I didnt put back in the posts that were useless.

Though I did loose all my comments on my posts, but oh well. :)

Don't forget about archive.org - if they indexed your page and older posts need to be recovered you can use the wayback tool and perhaps recover them!
