TIME!!!! And, good quality SEO techniques. It took forever to get two of our sties out of the sandbox, http:/www.birth-cards.com and http://www.cards-411.com

    Just hang in there . . . . .

Yeah you generally have to wait it out. I heard getting high quality backlinks speeds up the process a litte though.

Keep updating your website and build new links. From my own experience if site A and site B are from the same niche and site A is often updated and get new link regularly and site B only waits when it will be out of sandbox then site B will stay in the sandbox longer.

Nobody can tell you how long your website will be in sandbox because it depends on the keywords you target. If you run a website with less competitive keywords the sandbox may end sooner. E. g. my jokes website was in sandbox only 3 months while Marble Host which targets for very competitive keywords was in sandbox for about 2 years.

The toughest thing is to know for sure if you are indeed in the sandbox. If you are for sure, don't hold your breath waiting and don't let it slow you down. Just keep on plugging away and it will pay off.

If you have decent number of quality backlinks you can try to google for your company name or the phrase in the title. If you are not number one for your company name you will be probably in the sandbox.

Another good way how to find out if you are in the sandbox it searching for another phrases which are not competitive. Again, if you are not able to rank for the phrases like "Marble Host increased disk space quota in January" you will be probably in the sandbox.

Once you are sandboxed, just add more content and add more backlinks and start deeplinking. Once you are out of the Sandbox, you will experience much better rankings and higher traffic. I have experienced this with a couple of my websites, but this doesn't bother me anymore :)

a ) Dont stop optimizing your website
    b) Concentrate on less competitive keywords.

If your website is sandboxed for "SEO UK" then you can concentrate your efforts on "SEO Services UK". You should also make sure that your optimization process is natural and without using any Black Hat SEO techniques.

It took me a while to realize this being a stubborn Irishman. If you have Firefox and SEO Quake installed do a search for anything and you will see. The SERPS is what really matters, and to be honest I wish Google would just do away with letting us know what our pagerank is.

One of my sites was a Pagerank 5 last year. It is now a "3" and it gets more traffic than ever before

Use the time wisely, and build partnerships, backlinks and content. It will eventually pay dividends as your site gets crawled.
