my site rejected by botw - please help me

I submitted Central Web Directory to botw 3 days back
Now today I got and email from them that my site could not be listed in the directory because my directory does not have more content. :(
I have an offer from them to submit another site instead of this site. I really don't have any other site to submit to botw.
Now can you help me by submitting your site to botw via me
The payment fee for botw is $69.95. I accept paypal and CC
this money will help me promote my central directory by submitting to other sites.directories.

    Sad story...
They have rights to reject any website and think you cannot do anything with that.
From other hand you should think of making your directory more attractive also for submitters.
Other way you'll have lot of trouble with accepting it by smaller than BOTW directories and making it popular.
I didn't have any problem with my dir on BOTW as sponsored link. :)

That's a crap policy to not refund the Review Fee. Like you were paying for the review and not the link right?

It's really not as black and white as they put it however and if you wanted to you could I'm not saying in any way that you should as that's up to you put in a reversal.

It comes down to your interpretation of if the review process you paid for was adequate, not that your link was not placed.

So my question is was the review process rendered adequately? If so, an even trade for someone else is cool, or fixing up your site to their specs. If not, dispute it.

    IMHO.

That's exactly what the submitter is paying for - the review. It's pretty clearly stated in our submission guidelines, and we have gone on the record many many times that when you pay to submit, you are paying for the review - not the listing.

That's an inaccurate statement. We welcome any type of site that contains a substantial amount of unique content that is relevant to the category. Is a "directory" that contains less than 150 total listings to be considered a quality resource? Not by our standards - maybe by yours. We try to maintain a high level of quality for our users - will the resource benefit the user? If so, then the site gets in. If not, it doesn't.

We make the offer to review an alternate site to appease the dejected webmaster. Of course we would like for each site owner to have a pleasant experience with BOTW. That's tough to manage when you reject their site. So in an effort to "turn that frown upside down" we allow for a replacement site for review.

Maybe you call it being "too nice" - we call it good business.

    Charlie,

Something to consider is that directories have multiple uses. For example, I would not submit mine, because I have divided so finely that it will never be "full" of entries.

However, this division, this lack of "fullness" is precisely what provides utility for people. And this utility is in having the ability to add themselves to a quality resource without being lost in page 259 of entries in some overcrowded category.

So, utility can be found in areas other than simply already being established with a lot of entries. It can also be found in providing a useful resource for people that are looking for places to submit their site. In fact, being listed actually enhances that value of directories.

However, at the same time, I do understand that there are non-tangible quality issues and that not everyone can make the cut.

I have had a listing on this site for almost a year and have never had a problem, although I did lose my place once but was able to get it back.
