My site reached PR-3 but has no backlinks, is it OK?

Hi, I am noob in SEO, so pardon if you find this Post unnecessary

my game website www.tycoonwar.com has SUDDENLY reached PR-3. i checkted it on 5 to 10 Page Rank checker, almost 90% says its 3 and rest says 0. I am worried because of:-

1) site is hardly 50 days old
2) site is has very very few backlinks
3) site alexa ranking is 1,421,684
4) site suddenly reached PR-3 first, why it missed PR-2 and PR-1 ?

is my site PR is fake?
Also tell me is it normal or google will penalize this site?

 

Lol dont worry its completely normal and its because you got lucky
btw its not necessary that a site first passes through pr1 and pr 2 if your good at content and backlink history you can directly jump to some good figures...

 

dont worry google update almost daily, many time one day pr 1 and next day pr 0 , you are so luckly.

Well that's good news for you and there's nothing to worry about. But first I have to say this again that content doesn't have to do anything when it comes to PR! PR is a measure of backlinks/links that are pointing to a webpage. I did a quick look at your site and I don't see any innerpages (well maybe you have some that I did not see), so the PR isn't passing/flowing out/divided from your homepage. So the PR sticked much on your homepage that's why with fewer links and luck (google got weirder these days), you got a PR3.

Those are just my opinions . . .

 

It's depend upon your content and off page posting.

 

I do have a blog on same domain. Plus 90% of my traffic comes from facebook

 

You have a lot of facebook likes too.

 

Yeah I see it. 2 links pointing to inner pages and 2 links going out. Still, that really isn't much and your blog have links pointing back to your homepage as well. Since most traffic are coming from facebook, then getting a higher PR should be a plus points for you and your PR is real so nothing to worry about.

 

Google doesn't make mistakes with their PR my friend. If you have it, it's well deserved. Means your site is quality. Keep it up.

By the way, did you contract a company to program this game for you? Interesting concept, are you looking for investors?

 

Hah, question, why do you have a pagerank button on the website? A bit odd for a gaming site...

I my self Developed this game. and promoting it on Facebook (primarily) . Explain please what you men by this:- "are you looking for investors"

Interesting I am seeing this more and more, indeed the social data linked to your website has had a big effect on the PR. I recently did an experiment and wrote an article "60 ways to increase twitter followers". I concentrated mainly on social media principally Twitter, this page went from PR0 to PR4 in just over a month and is currently the highest PR page on the site! Proof that social media data is key.

PS Dont sell links! It is against the Google TOS.

thanks. but luck has nothing to do with it. i have now heard from many people saying their domain reach Pr3 or Pr4 easily.

 

It happens, never bother abut that. Your content might be very good.
