My Site Ranks No.1 on Google for Some Keywords But...

Hi everyone, I have a little issue which I want anyone reading this thread to help me analyze. I have a free website but with a paid domain name (http://www.researchnaija.com) at freeservers which I have managed since 2004. I have written some good content for this site, but as at the time I was busy writing these articles, I intended it as a pastime and used my university research works as the raw material for the site. Now my site ranks number one in the world for the keyphrases "nature of fuel scarcity", "writing a project essay" and a number of other keywords. The site appears on first page for most of its keywords on searches.

However, what I don't like about this despite the fact that it is a very good thing, is that it is a free site and therefore I can't really get the benefits of a real site. I find it hard to get it approved for Google Adsense. Right now I am thinking of maybe selling of the content and closing the site.

What do you think please? I need your suggestions. Thanks

Have you verified you own the domain in Google web master tools? You need to do that and have a privacy policy in place to be eligible for Ad Sense. I see no reason why not. If you have all original content you should benefit from it. Good luck with it.

Thanks for that piece of advice. I was thinking of removing all the site's content and placing them on my forum in another domain, and then shutting down the site. Will this amount to duplicate content? I need help pls

It would not be duplicate content if you shut one down. If you do that, you could loose all your ranking. Transferring to another domain. You can also use Google's free site builder and transfer the content to it. You can add a www url for your domain there and then forward your domain. At least they do not have the ugly header. Good luck with what ever you decide to do.
