What am I doing wrong? When I check my index stats it is showing that only my homepage is indexed, and I have no links to my site. site:http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site:www.newsnotion.com&btnG=Search link:http://www.google.com/search?q=link:www.newsnotion.com&hl=en I guess I am a bit of a newb at this, help me out!
Basics first you may need a few extra hours to redo all over again. just take your time. making money is for pros - pros are those who learn their trade from scratch and successfully use their exceptional skills ... hence you have MANY FATAL HTML-code errors and may need to learn HTML from scratch and clean up your entire page to make it bot-readable 1. make sure every tag has a container tag 2. start top error to bottom to solve one by one until 100% clean validated code on your domain start page and hopefully own all other pages as well 3. tune up your SEO 4. check Google adsense TOS on what and how you are allowed to do adsense 5. if you manually add code - make sure all is XHTML code ( <br> = <br /> in XTHML ) SEO your meta title shows no SEO at all: <title>News Notion - Because making money isn't just for the pros.</title> what do you want to "sell" "news" or "notion" or "news notion" or because or making money ?? if traffic is what you want - then SEO is what you need to learn from scratch if making money is what you want - then you need traffic !! Adsense and making money if adsense is your choice then you may want to read adsense pages to learn how many adsense units you are allowed per page - unless G changed its TOS last night ... it is 3 ad-units per page. you have MANY units ( 10 ) per page and none of them is one of the Google-published successful 3 formats. Google has a published list of the 3 ( THREE ) most successful formats published. if you get your adsense account banned you wont be able to make any more money at all. hence it's well worth to take a few extra hour snow and then to learn the basics well.
Google doesn't show all your backlinks, try using the 'sitedomain' search on Yahoo, you should get a result for your backlinks then.
Thanks! That didn't work for link: though. It was hard to understand exactly what you were trying to say. I don't have 10 ad units on my page. I know how to properly use adsense but thanks. I didn't know my meta title still said that so I'll change it. I will try to clean up my html thanks. Unfortunately, none of what you said helped me figure out why google is not displaying any websites that are linked to me.
Just thought I'd say that I dont think asking for someone to 'buy you a coffee' after EVERY post is a productive idea. Your regular viewers will get p'd off with it in my opinion and you could risk losing them. Just my opinion though

I dont think you should get rid of it altogether - just dont have it after every post cos it'll lose its credibility thats all. Good luck with your indexing
you have what is known as google canonical url issues, google is listing your site mostly without the www. The first thing you must do is open a google webmasters tools account In the account you can tell google whether you want your site indexed with www.domainname.com format urls or as domainname.com format urls, Plus, perhaps you should pursue a sustained link building program, directories are a good place for that
I have over 2000 backlinks. But you were right. For some reason my preferred domain was not set. I could have sworn I had set it! Thanks for your help, hopefully this solution will work!
google doesn't show all your backlinks and they only update backlinks around the same time they update pagerank. use the google webmaster tools to get a more accurate number of your backlinks.
