You should try to get some backlinks to your site to get it indexed faster.

what was the serious issue with your site? its possible your site may not be indexed for a while if it has been penalised very heavily, you also have to make sure that you have removed all the bad material, dead links and bad neighbourhood stuff that got you into trouble in the first place

once removed from google, it will take some days to get reindexed. I directly depends on the reason of deindexing.

I am having this problem, but with a brand new site. It has been over a week and here is what I have done. I know what I have done will help soon, but as of today..it hasn't helped at all.

Social bookmarked several of my pages/posts
    Added to Google Webmaster Tools
    Submitted sitemap to WMT's
Created a video, linked to site from video
    More bookmarks
Linked from relevant (and quality) Web 2.0 site to new site
    Pinged
Created more fresh content, pinged that
Set up Google authorship for the site
Checked robots.txt to make sure I wasn't blocking search engines
    Checked for errors
Checked the URL history to make sure the domain was not banned in the past. (Hard to do, I can only guess that based on when the domain was last active it should be healthy by now).

So even though those things have not worked for me yet, you may want to try any of them that you have not done yet. I have never waited more than 2 days for a site to get indexed, so this is the first time doing ANY ONE of these things did not help me get indexed.

One other step you can try is create 2-3 new posts and ping them using bulk ping services. Sometimes this may help in indexing the contents of a site fast.

How did you get it out of the index? Knowing how you did this will help you to know what to do. Did you use a plugin to set a noindex tag? Did you mark in your wordpress settings for search engines not to index your site. Undoing any of these settings will help to get your site re-indexed.

Search for your site with the extension: site:domain.com and see if its in the index and not just your keywords.

The first thing you want to do is have your sites and posts backlinked on Twitter and Facebook.

Also (arguably more important); compile a huge list of "update services" and insert them into wordpress => settings => "update services". You can do a simple Google and get a huge list of WordPress update services so your new posts are automatically pinged by a huge array of services.

Accomplish those two things and you should see immediate index; I do just that and my blog posts are indexed almost instantly.

If your website is nothing any penalty or not even you are used any back hat techniques, then it should be index with a week. Else you need submit your site map and url with google webmaster tools.

Make sure the process take some time, so be patience.

Did you check your robots file?
