My site's homepage, http://ipodxs.com, recently went from a PR3 to a PR0. I have recently built several high quality links through recriprocal and 3-way link exchange, and I changed up some of the text to attempt to SEO my site for a second keyword. My SERPs have not changed, and while I really don't care about pagerank I'd still like to know what I have done wrong and how I can rectify this situation.
If your "green bar" goes down all of a sudden, it could mean google is soon going to take traffic away. I had a pr 5 web site that was getting good traffic. One pr update it went down to a 2 and then about a month after that my traffic dropped about 60% and my pr has never recovered. If your pr drops it is a good indicator that google didn't like something that happened concerning your web site.
You site has very few backlinks pointing to your site so thats most likely the reason for the 0 PR. When did you first notice the drop?
Check the backlinks of your site - have those sites linking to you lost their pagerank as well? Could they be penalized for anything? This can cause the described effect on your site.
IMO, it's a backlinks issue... PR rest to ZERO is a matter of penalty assigned by Google and in most cases because of selling links otherwise a huge drop in the SERP's is definitely related to your website backlinks nor duplicated content. So, my advice is to keep working on your website by adding more and more fresh unique content and building backlinks from related high quality websites
I have same experience, last january my PR was 5..then today down to 2 I lost my sponsor because of this...I have many back links pointing to my site but why could happen ....and how can I recover this situation..thanks guys if you could help
Yahoo shows you have only 1 page indexed with 30 backlinks .. that's too low. so I guess your backlink strategy is not working.
I check your backlinks in yahoo and found 0. I'm not sure it is my fault on choose the tools or the fact was. so adding your backlinks slowly and steadily...
