My site loads after 2 clicks

I'm so annoyed with my server. It takes 2 clicks to load my pages, yet my average visitor will probably click away after just the first.

I've tried everything: cleaned up the php code, got rid of java, etc

Nothing seems to work. Is there a problem with my hosting?

How about a link to your site so that we can see it for ourselves and maybe work from that?

With the little amount of information you've given, I don't think there's much that is able to be offered that isn't just a shot in the dark.

    www.investortrip.com

When I try to navigate the site, I must click on everything twice.

Perhaps there is a read time out problem?

I'm having the same problem with my rss feed

Yes, your website loading so slow anyone would think its hosted on a 2 Kbps line. Not surprising consider DreamHost are clearly over-selling their products.... 192.5GB disk space for $8 :(

I contacted my host, and they've done nothing. They said they ran some optimization, but its still slow as hell.

Is there anything else I can personally do?

Its not necessarily your host, although using DreamHost won't help matters. It could be your dodgy php coding. Maybe your should try loading a few plain html pages to check the speed they load.?

Just seems to be the server you are on, have a look at moving. The services advertising forums a good place to look. If you want to double check that it is the server rather than the site, register to a free web host, upload your content and have a go.

    Hope that Helps

What are some free web hosts out there?

Also, I deleted the cache, and things have gotten A LOT faster.

I guess I forgot to empty the trash. Thanks for everyone's input.

Running a web site is a long learning process.

If you have a look at freewebhostingtalk.com, a snake pit of freehosts, you'll find some one.

    Hope that Helps
