My site listing

Hi Guys,

I have submitted my site over a couple of months ago. Nothing!

I thought my site was cool. :-(

I'll save you some time... it could take years for your site to get reviewed... nothing you can do but work on making your website better. If it's listable, it will get listed eventually. Maybe not today, next week, or even next year... but one day...

 

Your photographs are gorgeous. Love the poppies and the first one in seas.

Your site is listed. Congratulations! BTW, it was listed pretty quickly, because a few months is hardly a long wait. BTW, it's in a regional category.

Wow. Guess we don't need the site suggestion link anymore. Just tell everyone to post a complaint at DP. It'll get your site listed (twice) within hours.

 

I don’t understand your problem Ishfish. The point is that a good site has been added to the directory. Whether the source of that URL was a digitalpoint forum, or was found tattooed on the buttocks of a cheap crack whore, it does not matter.

 

Editors are encouraged to find good sites in a variety of ways. That can include things they happen to see on forums.

Perhaps it should be made clear though that complaining on outside forums is not the best route to a listing. Editors will very, very seldom list a site posted with a moan about slow review, for the very reason that it might encourage a flood of webmasters hoping to find the magic shortcut. The forum would get bogged down, the editors would flee for their lives (or peace of mind anyway) and webmasters would just end up angrier than ever.

It's a rare site that can move me to list it in those circs. Consider it a one-off.

 

Of all the status requests I dealt with on RZ - 100's of them - I listed maybe 3 straight off as a result of the request. Truly exceptional sites that enhanced the directory. That is the name of the game isn't it? Enhancing the directory? When you come across an exceptional site, can list it, don't list it, no matter what the source, you are a poor editor and should be ashamed of not grasping the objectives of the directory. Well done genie.

Haven't found any good sites tattooed on buttocks, yet - but I keep looking. But again, I do stay away from Adult.

Enigma - try using the internal editor's feedback system to communicate with jdaw1 - probably not a good idea to get into a personal spat out here in DP.

 

How odd, I got red from him too for saying the op has nice photos?

 

Bear in mind that people can sign their reputation comments here with any name they like. How better to make mischief than by having one ODP editor apparently giving out red to another? Looks like fake signatures have been used left and right.
