    Could be something to do with the fact that you don't have a description in your site!

    Put one in!

    What do you expect when you haven't used the Meta description tag?

    <META NAME="Description" CONTENT="Whatever you want">

    Google doesn't come up with those on their own, they just read your meta description tag. I think you may have been confused by the fact that search results are often listed with descriptions based on the relevance to the search. In that case, Google's algorithm develops the description, but you'll only see that when your site is listed in the natural search results for a particular keyword (and not your domain name).
